At the end of July Motovun hosts film makers and film lovers from all over the world who come to take part in the Motovun Film Festival (MFF), whereas in nearby Grožnjan almost every evening you can enjoy a jazz concert.

Clean beaches of the Istrian coast of the Adriatic and tourist centres: Poreč, Umag, Novigrad and Rovinj, are just a 30 minute drive from Motovun. From these towns one day excursions to Venice are organised daily.

You can go down the 60 m deep Baredine grotto or famous grotto "Pazinska Jama", which was described by Jules Verne.

Frescos (Beram) and the Eufrasius Basilica in Poreč (6th century) belonging to world heritage and under UNESCO protection, are only a short distance away. The concert season in the Basilica lasts during the summer months.

Visit the world renowned observatory in Višnjan or the smallest town in the world - Hum.
